Furniture Delivery in Sotogrande: White-Glove Guide

You've found the piece — a hand-knotted runner for the hallway, an olive-wood console for the entrance. The question now isn't whether it arrives, but how it gets through a gated urbanisation, up a villa staircase, and into the exact spot you had in mind. In Sotogrande, that last stretch is the real work. Here's how we move a Nestology piece from our coast workshop to your home, and what we need from you to do it properly.

Courier or white-glove

Not every order ships the same way. Smaller artisan pieces — pierced-brass lighting, ceramics, woven baskets and trays — travel flat-packed by courier. They arrive boxed, and you unpack them yourself.

Larger pieces are handled differently. Our rugs, consoles and sideboards, wardrobes and terrace collections go out on our own white-glove service. We carry the piece to the room you choose, unwrap it, assemble it, lay and flatten the rug, and take the packaging away with us. Nothing is left at the door for you to wrestle inside. The product page tells you which tier applies before you order, so there are no surprises on the day.

Lead times and getting through the gates

Three timelines, depending on the piece:

  • In stock — usually delivered within one to two weeks.
  • Made to order — typically four to eight weeks, confirmed when you buy.
  • Sourced from Morocco or Turkey — often eight to twelve weeks. These are made by hand and shipped in batches.

Because our hub is here on the coast, Sotogrande sits inside our direct-route zone, not at the end of a national-courier chain. We schedule our own runs, so the window we give you is the window we keep.

The local challenge is access. Most Sotogrande addresses sit behind a barrier — La Reserva, Kings & Queens, the marina, the polo estates — and security won't wave a van through without notice. We need your name added to the gate list and the date confirmed in advance. That step alone often saves a full day. Some villa lanes are narrow, so for large pieces we check vehicle size against the approach beforehand. If your estate has its own delivery rules, tell us when you book and we'll work to them.

Stairs, large pieces and the day itself

Awkward arrivals are planned, not improvised. Before a wardrobe or a wide sideboard leaves us, we check its dimensions against your stairwell, doorways and any tight turns. Where a piece won't go up the stairs, we arrange terrace or balcony hoisting instead. The reason for measuring first is simple: nothing should turn back at the door.

A short checklist keeps the day clean:

  • Decide the final placement before we arrive — which room, which wall.
  • Clear the path from the gate to that spot.
  • Confirm who'll be home to let us in.
  • Flag any pets, and tell us where the van can park.

That's the difference between a delivery and a finished room.

If a piece doesn't sit right

Sometimes a piece doesn't suit the space once it's in. That's fine. Tell us within fourteen days and, provided it's in its original condition, we'll arrange collection — white-glove in reverse, so we lift and re-wrap it rather than leaving you to repack a rug. We'll sort an exchange or a refund from there. No hidden conditions.

This is where a small, family-run business shows. Prudence built Nestology after years managing large showroom floors on the coast, because she wanted customers handled properly rather than processed. The delivery service follows from that: we'd rather get the fit right than chase a sale.

Booking your window

To schedule, message us with your address, the gate or estate you're behind, and a couple of dates that work. We confirm a window, add the access details to the run, and tell you who'll be at your door — a real name, not a tracking number.

So if there's a piece you've held off on because you weren't sure how it would even get there, that part is handled. Browse the collection and leave the gates, the stairs and the final placement to us.

And if you're ever along the coast near Fuengirola, the door's open — come and run your hand over the consoles, sideboards and furniture you've been reading about, and see how they sit in person before they ever sit in your hallway. If you do drop by and decide to take something home with you, show this screen at the counter for 10% off your walk-in purchase, with the code NESTO-9102 — a small thank-you for making the trip. There's no substitute for feeling the weight of a piece and the grain of the wood up close. Make yourself at home.
